sorry for sounding like a crotchity old man but this kid is 9 and on a bike well over the 1000 dollar mark, the kid doesn't weigh enough to warren full suspension and he's got 2 years on it max before he grows out of it, it just seems stupid how much parents are spending on kids bikes these days, a 500 dollar hardtail would've done him just as well in my opinion.

Bikes with less than 180 mm of travel don't work with a 63degree head angle, oil shocks are a person peeferance that's almost strictly dh/freeride, and hydraulic seat posts are guaranteed to make any bike light fr to xc more fun, you gotta accept it man, the times they are a changing, Ps: the guys who designed Gwin's world cup winning steed are the same guys who designed that "poorly engineered" superfly, just sayin
